The Lead Partner opened the meeting, thanking the participants and outlining the objectives:
A small introduction about each Partner description and main activities presented to all.
A special presentation in air was presented by PB3- Serres AirClub and its activities .
There was a presentation of FireFly’s core mission: strengthening prevention, preparedness, and coordinated response to forest fires.
Explanation of the strategic importance of innovative surveillance technologies. Cross- border environmental challenges and rationale for collaboration.
2nd project meeting 18-6-2026

FireFly Project – objectives and indicators. Presenting of project activities and communication plan ,Presentation of implemented activities , Q&A session Presentation of implemented activities . Progress reports and paid out expenditures – all partners Discussion session, Problems / challenges and next steps in project implementation Discussion session.
The Steering Committee
The Steering Committee (SC) led by the LP coordinates and supports the project team, ensure proper implementation, financial management, oversees tender procedures, ensures deliverables meet project standards, takes care of feedback & problem-solving, meetings planning, oversees quarterly progress reports and the half-yearly financial reports and will sends them to Interreg MA.
LP liaises with the Interreg MA to resolve administrative and financial issues.

Steering Commitee meetings
Six technical meetings are held every four months. A shared cloud drive will be set up, organized into folders for each WP deliverable, for each partner.

SC includes 3 representatives from each partner: a project manager (also coordinates designated WP), a financial manager and a contact person.
External experts will be sought if deemed necessary.
Internal Communication occurs every two weeks via emails, calls and teleconferences.
